A new print has been added to the Prints page. The third in my silhouettes series, “Supermoon” depicts a jubilant werewolf on the night of the supermoon, leaping from a cliff mid-change for a run while a soaring owl watches from nearby.
This print is available in sizes ranging from 4×6 to 18×24, and is available now!
A new year, and a new challenge! I am a proud supporter and participant of Extra Life 2013, a 25 hour gaming marathon for charity. That’s right, a 25 hour GAMING marathon. Basically it works like any charity marathon, in people donate to support my “miles,” or, more appropriately, levels.
So, as everyone knows, I’m not just an artist and a writer, but I’m also an avid gamer. I have quite a few physical issues that stop me from being able to do most of the marathon things that come up for charity – bike rides, running marathons, etc. However, I AM capable of this.
But why am I posting about this on a site dedicated to my art instead of just on my blog (which would probably be more appropriate), well…I want to get the news out to the most people that I can. However, I am making this art related as well!
This is similar to to the popular “YCH” or “Your Character Here” auctions that have gone around the art sites lately. Basically, if you sponsor me, you’re in the running to game with me in a cell shaded color commission. Here’s the line-art – your character will replace the sketchy outline in blue.
And, to make it even more interesting, if I raise more than $500, the person who wins will also receive a 11×17 print of the artwork, absolutely free.
How will you find out who wins? Well, I’ll be assigning each non-anonymous person who donates a number, and then will be using a random number generator to pick the winner after donations close. The winner will be announced December 1st, publically on this site as well as every art site I’m a part of, then I will be emailing the winner to ask for a character reference so that the picture can be completed, and a shipping address (if the donation level qualifies – otherwise they’ll receive a high resolution JPG in the mail).
So get those donations in and get your chance at gaming with me forever in picture form! The widget will remain on both of my sites until the event is over so that you can track the progress at all times. But if you don’t donate, you don’t have a chance of winning, so please donate! These kids can use all the help we can give.
Made another small site update today – on the commissions page, there’s now a form used for requesting commissions. But! It can also be used to request a print for any of the artwork on the site.
Please note – prints of commission materials are available ONLY if the commissioner gives me permission to offer it as a print. These will be on a by request basis, and I will contact the original commissioner. If the commissioner agrees, then the item will be made available for print and prices will be negotiated. Just note that when requesting a print of commissioned materials, there is a very real possibility that I will not be allowed to offer the artwork for print.
I’m in the middle of working on a new art piece that WILL be available for print. So far, just the background is mostly finished, But I offer you a WIP shot so that this blog isn’t completely art free. And the eye in the featured image is also part of this new work.
We have our commission page, showing the queue, with a button giving current prices. And, I’m very proud to offer my first print for sale. Werewolf Sunrise was a personal piece done partially as a gift for my wife, Lona. However, as it isn’t a commission, I’m very proud to offer it as a print! Check out the new pages and take a look around. With this update, Tygerwolfe Designs’ new site is officially in business!
Tygerwolfe Designs enters a new era today with the launch of it’s very own website!
The decision to separate my web presence into The Tyger’s Den and Tygerwolfe Designs was a long process, but ultimately I believe it will make both my writing and my artwork more accessible to those looking for specific things.
The galleries and commission information will be going up in the following days, but for now the site is up, it’s social media is connected, and there will be much, much more to come.
